This top-down sock knitting pattern features a fun ruffle cuff and a lacey zig-zag design that elegantly flows down the leg and foot. 

Perfect for knitters looking to combine texture, lace, and an easy to memorize pattern.

To be successful with this pattern, I recommend you have experience with the following skills before beginning:

  • Reading a knitting pattern using US terminology
  • Knitting with double-pointed needles
  • Knitting and measuring a gauge swatch.

If you aren't already familiar with these skills, this pattern will teach you how to:

  • Knit a ruffle cuff
  • Knit a patterned sock
  • Turn a heel
  • Kitchener stitch

Materials Used:

  • 100g (approx 400 yards) of sock-weight yarn
    This pattern works up especially nicely with self-striping yarn
  • One set Size 1 US (2.75mm) Double-pointed needles
    or whatever size is needed to match gauge
  • Darning / Yarn needle
  • optional: 1 size 1 US (2.75mm), 10-16” circular needle for the cuff
    or whatever size is needed to match gauge

Gauge

34 sts x 44 rows stockinette stitch = 4”
      OR                                         
8.5 sts x 11 rows stockinette stitch = 1”
